Members Everlost87
I currently have a Mesa Single Rectifier Series 1, and I'm just not happy with the low-low mid sound. Every guitarist I've loved the tone of has had a Marshall, so I think that's what I need to get. I run it through a Splawn 4x12 with Eminence Red Coats in an X Pattern. I made the perfect sound in my head, only it needs a little more depth, and a tiny bit more bass with a Line6 PodXTL. Explorer w/ JB ---> Line 6 --->Audacity Pay particular attention to the parts from 1:02 on. Both were with the same patch. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=648336 These are the settings I'm pretty sure I used (Sold the pedal to pay for school) Marshall Super Lead4x12 with Greenbacks or V30'sBoosted for More Gain with the Classic DistortionProbably a Little Touch of Reverb/Chorus but probably barely noticeableAnd I know I messed with the EQ a little I asked on the SD Forums and they said a JCM 900 or a Splawn would nail it. But I thought I'd get a 2nd opinion just to be sure. I'm pretty sure I'm going with JCM 900 as it's a lot cheaper. The mesa just doesn't have that bite, I always keep the bass real low, and the Mids/Highs up near 3'oclock, but it's still just in the wrong Tonal Direction. Thanks for all of the help guys :yourock:
