Members TubeBy12
Switching from the stock fizzy STR-430 to the boomy STR-454 (SED) was like a sex change for my Rect-o-verb.

After owning 3 rectos and trying nearly every tube I could get my hands on the SED =C= were the best match IMO!

Members thinkpad20
hmm... I was personally thinking the JJ's for my tremoverb. From Dougstubes.com: These sound great in many amps like Fender. A favorite in Peavey 5150/II and others. Wide dynamic range, thick harmonics and pleasant breakup.. But really, I'm looking for something just like what the OP said. Something that can do super high gain really smooth with no fizz, that has really thick harmonics (on both clean and distortion). Would the =C='s be better here? I would just go for them but for the extra $15 for the quad.
