Members jeffrey ray
has anyone ever replaced the internal lithium battery on one of these?....it's sitting all gutted on a table in my basement and I see the battery right in front of me...but the battery feels fused to the connectors...I hesitate to force it...but without a new battery I have to re-initialize every time I power up I don't want to disconnect the entire circuit board to unsolder the connections...but...I don't know...I'm frustrated....the manual made it sound like the battery would slip right out... any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanksjeffrey ray take a listen to my material:http://www.myspace.com/jeffreyraygun
Members Meatball Fulton
Many early lithium batteries were designed to be soldered right to the board rather than placed in a socket. It wasn't expected to be a user-replaceable part.
Members liliththekitten
That sounds right. If its a CR2032 battery, it should be the same kind of job as 80's Rolands and some other synths of the era. I am pretty sure there are instructions online, including installing a new battery socket for a 2032
