Members Extasyguy
I dont know about the 9200 but I have a EL34 100/100 and it kicks ass. I actually like it more than my VHT 2150 which was supposed to replace it. There is a difference though because I read that Iron Maiden had their 9200's updated to EL34 specs. Members Khronos
Looks like the 9200 has 5881's and the el34, has el34's..... surley that doesn't warrant the 15kg weight reduction though....

Members saxxamafone
info? there is no info one comes with 5881's the other with el34's.. that's pretty much it. My guitarist runs a 9200 with 6L6's and hasn't had any problems in the 3-4yrs he's had it
Members peehoo
So where does that 15kg difference come in:confused:I know you can easily mod 9200/9100 to accept EL34s.Only all EL34's don't fit in so you have to take the top off. Different wood thickness/type on the cabinet would do it...

Members Lo0SeSkReWz
I had a 9200 shortly after they first came out that I ran witha Mesa/Boogie Quad pre-amp and it sounded killer, but it had a bad ground loop problem that I couldn't seem to fix. It was a Guitar Center floor demo model so I'm sure if you make sure that wich ever you pick is in good condition you will be pleased.
