Members StratKat Posted July 7, 2002 Members Share Posted July 7, 2002 several steps depending on whether you have an mp3 to start out with or will be recording one. 1- record your material and get it onto a hard drive in a computer or a cd disk. 2- rip the tune and convert it with a mp3 software package. I use EZ CD EXTRACTOR. (Make the new MP3 128kbps and 44khz in stereo mpeg 3 layer. Which is the highest most mp3 sites allow.) 3- Set up a site with mp3.com (register and answer a few questions.) Then upload your mp3 to that site. 4- Wait and wait and wait and wait till mp3.com approves your tune and then give out the url to everyone. Expect anywhere from a week to 3 weeks if you're using their free service. IUMA.com is a lot quicker, but you have less control over stuff like download options.
