Here's one I had a little while back: (They're notes, not chords. Each line is a chord).

C E G C

Bb Db Gb Bb

A C# E G Bb

Bb D G A

F# Bb D A

G A D E

Ab B Db F

B D F B

Interesting that the sixth chord spells out the name of a great Danish composer. Hmm...

I don't really know any chord progressions as such, most of what a write relies upon very specific voice leading, like the one above.

One chord that I like to use alot is the so called 'Promethian' chord, that is found often in Scriabin's music. The chord is:

C F# Bb E A D. Very beautiful and useful.

I wrote a song called "Lose Myself" which had an

interesting progression over the verses...

C / B7 / A7 / / /

C / B7 / E / / /

I've also done a couple of songs recently that included

a 7sus4 chord. That is a cool sounding chord. One, called

"Searching," uses this progression...

Am / / / E7sus4 / / / D6 / / / C / / Bm7

(Am Am/G Am7/F# Am7/F) X 3 Emaj

In 6/8, or a fast 3/4 (waltz basically) each chord is given three beats except the E maj which gets 12 beats. This is the verse progression. The chorus is just simply:

Am Emaj (repeat) with each chord getting 6 beats.

If you have ever heard the song Friend is a Four Letter Word by Cake, then you have a pretty good idea of what type of vibe I am going for on the verse section of this song, only in 6/8 ofcourse. :D
