I see them fitting in with a Weezer type thing, or maybe a POD rap rock vibe. You said yourself that the words seem to mean absolutely nothing, so I guess that covers my only complaint. That being said, I might throw my hands in the air to them if I was drunk enough... You'd have to make sure that people knew you are just having fun and not taking yourself too seriously, though.
