Members SomeGuyNamedRob
It took a little longer than expected, and came out totally different from anything I could have imagined, but here it is - the first ever Some Guy Named Rob CyberJam. Listen to Ain't Gonna Take No Moe featuring : SomeGuyNamedRob gtrdave Johan kuntikin Sadly, Fred5's contributions couldn't be seated in the mix properly, so I had to leave his parts (wild frenzied shredding) out of the final mix. Who you hear playing : SomeGuyNamedRob : Framework Johan - Intro Solo (~0:05 - 0:22) Johan - Rhythm Guitar (~0:10 - 0:45) gtrdave - Solo #1, Left Channel (~0:45 - 1:07) gtrdave - Solo #1, Right Channel (~0:45 - 1:07) Johan - Rhythm Guitar (~0:55 - 1:29) gtrdave - Bend Melody (~1:17 - 1:40) Johan - Main Solo (~1:40 - 2:13) gtrdave - Main Solo Rhythm (~1:40 - 2:23) kuntikin - Solo Melody (~2:14 - 3:02) Johan - Rhythm Guitar (~2:21 - 2:59) SomeGuyNamedRob - Outro Solo (~3:01 - 3:20) Notes: I was pleasantly surprized by how raw this all came out in terms of guitar tones. I kept in some of the mistakes just because it had that same vibe as the tones - a little unpolished, a little angry. I'd like to thank Johan, gtrdave, and kuntikin for stepping and laying down some killer tracks, and for having enough faith to give me carte blanche in terms of editing their stuff. I left out vocals and vocal samples that have become something of a trademark - mostly because I had a sudden burst of creativity on the guitar that I actually captured and wanted to get this track mixed and uploaded right away. Comfortablynumb can feel secure that I didn't vocalize his Simpsons reference. Enjoy the track.
Members WattsUrizen
That's pretty damn good. Johan's rhythm guitar has a sort of '70's porn' strut to it that is really dirty and obnoxious, but also infectious. Gtrdave's lead work is hauntingly beautiful, with the two guitars swirling around in ethereal patterns. Unfortunately, I find kuntikin's solo to be a weak point, it lacks the intensity of the others'. However the outro solo is quite stunning. Great stuff. I didn't think my ambient sonic noodling qualified as "stunning" but I'm glad that people think it's cool.

There's a second version of the framework up in the CyberJam forum for anyone who wants to have their own shot at playing on the track.
