Members weehaw Posted September 19, 2007 Members Share Posted September 19, 2007 I used to have an old Peavey Heritage VTX. It was big and loud. I actually had pretty good cleans. I needed better distortion though so I traded it even up for a Randall RG80PH. The Randall does have a great distortion but the cleans suck. I recently picked up a Peavey Windsor and 2x12 cab that I really like so far. It has that EL34 sound I have been trying to get. I like it better than the Randall. I am pretty sure the pawn shop where I made the trade still has the Peavey Heritage so I am thinking about seeing if they will trade me back. Or...Should I sell the Randall outright and try to get a tube combo like a Peavey Classic 30 or a Fender Blues Jr. or Hot Rod Deluxe, or something else for cleans?
