Here is the link! http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?p=27966518#post27966518 I just picked one up from the local shop used for 600 bucks with case.No pictures as of now, sorry.Made in usa san dimas, cailifornia factoryCandy apple red Alder BodyEbony board with abalone sharktooth inlaysBolt-on maple neckschaller licensed floyd (incredible trem)EMG 81 or 85 in bridge..don't know. It's an incredible guitar, 1 pickup. I found one on ebay for 3000 BIN in mint shape...but i thought it might just have been outrageously priced? I've heard the necks to be extremely prized. Any info/insight? It rips, and I love it, i just wanna know more. Bill
Members yabba
if it's in good shape, $600 was a {censored}ing STEAL (though $3k does sound pretty outrageous) I'm not sure exactly the 'true san dimas' ones stopped being made, but in any case that's a very sought after guitar
Members zortmuckerman1
81's have the silver emg logo on the front. 85's have gold logo. Of course the 60a, 58, and HA have gold logos as well. That should be a little helpful.
Members TOStudent
Few things you can check to help.Go to the Jackson website and check the serial number on the back plate with their web site. Also if you remove the neck they usually have the date in the pocket and/or on the neck to confirm. My custom shop was ordered/made in late 87/88 and mine is Ontario. You may have gotten one of the last ones from the San Dimas shop. It's very cool that it haas a Ebony board also. Check the web site. That is a sick price if it is a San Dimas
Members JesterRace51
I love the necks on 80's jacksons. My buddy has a dinky from the mid 80's with a natural finish, reverse inlays, ebony board, and OFR. Weighs as much as a feather or 2, and the neck is even thinner than that of the ibanez wizards. How much do you think its worth in a 7/10 shape?

Members Dave L
If that Schaller bridge is Jackson-branded and original it indicates an Ontario from the early nineties.
