Members Alice 'N Chainz
So far I've used harmonic minors are there any scales that I might have overlooked that sound classical? If so tell me.
Members WattsUrizen
Err.... The scales in use during the Classical period were: The Major; The Harmonic Minor; The Melodic Minor; The Natural Minor. Note that the melodic minor was primarily used for ascending passages, due to the desire to have the leading tone before the tonic.
Members dpothecary
Modal shifts often sound grandiose.

Isn't melodic minor ascending the same as natural minor ascending? I think the difference is in the descending melodic minor. Right?
