Members Harmonix444
I recently got a vt120 for about $40 because it doesn't work properly. I'm not sure what's wrong w/ it, and before I bring it to a tech, I wanted to see if anyone knew what the problem is (Or at least have a better idea than myself). When you turn on the amp, in order to be audible, you have to turn the levels all the way. From time to time, after the tubes have warmed up a bit, it will get really loud (to whatever you have the level at) and lose the volume again. All the channels work properly and so does the reverb. Any Ideas?

Members Harmonix444
No, I haven't even messed w/ it yet. I thought it could be the tubes, but I really don't know much about how amps work.

Members Harmonix444
Might be a dumb question, but could you provide some insight on how this is done? The removing the tubes part.
