I can only compare my JMP to My 2203x but here it goes: The JMP has more gain, and is not quite as bright as the 2203x stock, but once you get those crappy stock tubes out of the 2203x it sounds a lot better and both can get pretty damn close to each other. I run the exact same tone settings on both of them and get almost the exact same sound. Just the RI needs to have the gain dimed to get around where the JMP is when it's at 3 o'clock Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
