Members gargamelesp Posted December 7, 2007 Members Share Posted December 7, 2007 Hi guys! ive been using my engl invader 150 for the past few months or so and i can say that the amp dosent disappoint me at all. channel 2 and 3 are both great and cover a diverse range of styles. however, i personally dislike channel 4 and find it think and weak i finally got the funds to top up for the SE and i have people looking to get my invader already. Should i pull the trigger? I wont be able to try one out, so ill have to go by the words of you guys. of course i play mainly metal, so cleans dont concern me at all. how different are the 3 channels on the SE?? are there any overlaps with the invader? finally, if i decide to trade up, 6l6 or el34? thanks!!!! If channel 4 is too weak, spend more time tweaking it, trying with eq in front and loop, and with a boost. Is channel 4 clean or dirty?
