Noticed that it was making an awful lot of noise after I got the tubes in and bias set. See pic: Note the purple and yellow secondaries. UNSOLDERED!!!!! You could wiggle them around with a pair of pliers just barely touching them. Another shop in town worked on this a while back. I went ahead and pulled the rear board and found other misgivings and fixed those as well. Guy also had the amp running basically at cutoff. I hate these godawful 900s but they should breakdown because they are junk, not because of shoddy repair work. - WOT Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
