Members bchew Posted July 9, 2005 Members Share Posted July 9, 2005 listen to a top 40 radio station or something and analyze the melodies in popular songs. this way you can get a sense of what intervals work at what times and such. you might possibly be "inspired" when you're listening. the only problem with this approach is that you new found melody might sound very similar to the ones on the radio, but then again, all songs have an twin somewhere out there...
