Members Geno_xl
I'm not sure what your price range is but there are several to choose from. I'm not sure about the quality but I think boss has just made a really small recording device. www.bossus.com or you could always try one of the other stand alone units from Boss. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/home/navigation?q=boss+recorder If it was me I would probably get a laptop computer and pick up an audio interface like the lexicon alpha. It comes with a free version of cubase LE and should be very portable. there are way to many choices. good luck
Members thaumata
I have a minidisc player and a little condensor mic that I picked up at guitar center and when I was a voice major that's always what I taped my lessons with. I think that most singers really only need that stuff for their own ears, so I wouldn't worry too much about converting it to say.. MP3. As long as you can hear it, and hear the things in it you're trying to improve, it should be sufficient.
