new around this parts. looking for a few thoughts

hey guys, im from the drum forum so sorry if i act a little ignorant. i read through the sticky and decided to make a soundclick account so maybe a few of you could listen to the band im in and tell me what you think. we're all in high school so it's still a little rough. i only play the drums, but any input is appreciated. this is only our 3rd or 4th completed song so we're still getting the hang of it.

oops i forgot to mention the song is called gh2 (its just a working title sort of... we name our songs from video games. gh2= guitar hero 2 hah)

 

and also we recorded in a basement using a fostex digital 8 track

i thought it's a pretty good song overall. i liked the arrangement, and the drum playing, and the way the vocal melody sits in the accompaniment. It's hard to comment much on the guitar or lyrics though, because in the mix the drums predominate and the vocals are very low. Also you didn't post the lyrics. Nice work for a 4th song, keep up the good work.

I would just echo the above poster. The drumming was good, the song has potential, and the mix needs work.
