Members grathan Posted July 13, 2008 Members Share Posted July 13, 2008 Love the sound of the chan 1 cleans of the Classic+also...Love the gain of the chan 2 Se+ Would it be easier to buy the SE+ and make the chan 1 sound like the classic+ ?or... would it be easier to buy the classic+ and make chan 2 sound like the se+ either by use of pedals or amp mods.. As far as I know the cleans on Ch1 of the Classic+ and Ch1 of the SE+ are very similar. Give John Suhr a call to verify.I think they are both using EL34's and a Plexi tranny. I just checked the Suhr website and it says the SE+ clean is the same as the Standard +, then it says down a bit that the Classic + has the same cleans as the SE and the Standard but due to the different power section there is slightly more mids and compression.
