Pickup wiring question

I installed a set of Dimarzio Evolutions in my Ibanez RG421, and the wiring isn't quite working right. I'm pretty sure the switch is wrong. It works great on positions 5 and 3 ( neck full and bridge+neck full mixed ). On position 1, it sounds like a single coil or out of phase, VERY little output. Position 2 and 4 do not make any sound.

It's a 5 way switch with 8 lugs. Here is how I have it wired now:

( from left to right )

1. Red wire from bridge pickup

2. White wire from neck pickup, and also a connecting wire from lug 2 to lug 7

3. Red wire from neck pickup

4. White wire to volume pot

5. Green wire from bridge pickup

6. Black wire to volume pot

7. White wire from lug 7 to lug 2

8. Black wire from neck pickup

What did I do wrong?

Thanks!

How are the selections supposed to be for each position in the 5-way switch?

I wrote it down actually.. Let me get it:

Original configuration:

1. Red wire bridge p/u

2. White to lug 7, Green wire neck p/u

3. Red wire Neck p/u

4. White to volume

5. White wire bridge p/u

6. Black wire to volume

7. White wire to lug 2

8. Black wire from neck pickup

I assumed that the green and white wires were swapped due to the way the original pickups were.

As far as what position 2/4 are supposed to be, I have no idea.

Oh :o. Here's Ibanez's wiring for different guitar models. If you decided to wire via the SD site, you could do it like this with the hardware you have.
