Members nuke_diver Posted September 17, 2008 Members Share Posted September 17, 2008 The title says is not a happy new amp day Got one of those Crate V18 1-12 yesterday. Initially it was all rice crispies...snap crackle and pop . Powered it back off and rechecked on the tubes but nothing seemed loose. However after that the noise was gone and it could be played. However there seems to be a hiss when the level (Master volume?) is turned up beyond noon. Since I'm a tube amp newbie I'm not sure if this is expected or what could cause it.
