Personally, I always liked the Firebirds but could never get past the ugly headstock. Plus, this one doesn't have the goofy active electronics the originals had. I think most people bypassed or ripped out the active electronics on the old RD's.Bust out the tape measure and measure the length from nut to bridge. Or just put it face to face with one of your other Gibsons to see if it's 24.75" or 25.5".If it's actually 25.5", I would be a lot more interested in these. It could make a good downtuning machine.
