Members Jcm800_6550
Hey guys what exactly are the things that the Roadking has that the Roadster doesn't? thanks guys:confused: just wondering if its worth the extra GRAND:eek:
Members kyleanadora
Progressive linkage. The roadking actually has el-34's and 6l6's in it at the same time and you can select what power tubes you want each channel to use. Like channel 1- el-34, channel 2- 6l6, channel 3- 2el-34's and 2 6l6's, etc.

Members kyleanadora
Yeah, it's kinda cool. I like the idea. But honestly i hated my Mesa because I thought it had way to much going on with all it's little switches and hidden knobs and jazz. So I sold it and bought an Orange AD30HTC. Best decision I ever made. What kind of music are you playing?
Members Jcm800_6550
hard rock, not real heavy metal good example would be , disturbed
Members abecon5
cab switching? you can hook up two different cabz and assign them to each channel. you can also assign both to the same channel. really cool
Members kyleanadora
If it were me, I'd keep the JCM 800. I think those amps work way better for hard rock and heavy music. Thrice gets some killer rock tone's out of theirs. But then again, that's just me.

Members Jcm800_6550
ive been debating wheter i should or not they both sound very kickass (jcm800-roadster) i think the reason that im leaning twards roadster is because i always hear it through a nice 4x12 mesa v30 cab, and my 800 through a not so good b-52 cab, i think im just gonna save up the $ and get a nice used old marshall cab or maby a mesa cab i dont know yet because i havent heard the jcm800 through v30's does it sound any good? Members kyleanadora
We used a JCM 800 through a mesa cab on our record and it sounds awesome. i borrowed my buddy's roadster for a few months and another one of my friends has one and they sound alright. They're hard as crap to tweak but I would say keep the 800 and get a good cab with vintage 30's in it or Greenbacks.

Members madryan
The Road King is great but it's not worth the extra grand. The Roadster is still better than most of the Recto's. The T-Verb and first 500 Dual recs as well as the Ractifier were great as well.
Members Jcm800_6550
is the 800 with v30's the only amp you used on the album?
Members kyleanadora
We used an old 2 channel blackface dual rec for some little stuff, but the majority of what you hear is Parker fly-JCM 800- Mesa 412 or LTD EC-1000- JCM 800- Mesa

Members kyleanadora
No we broke up in september of last year. You can pick up the whole record on itunes for like ten bucks or if you want a hard copy I can probably get you one for postage. The intro to suit of lights is that 800 shining like a jewel
