I got a brand new BMW 328i (yeah, its not a 335 or an M3 but still kicks ass) and I was so excited that when UPS pulled up with my silly Spider Valve HD100 I had forgotten the amp was coming. I have some pretty cool all-tube heads, but this Spider Valve amp is kinda neat. I'm planning on using it our cover gig stuff and so far I think it'll fit the bill quite nicely. Several years ago I had one of those HD147 amps, and while it was ultra-convenient for live use, the tones at higher volumes were pretty weak. This Spider Valve seems like it eliminates some of the weaknesses of the HD147 while retaining all the cool remote switching capabilities. I will now go back to drinking beer as I am taking the day off tomorrow to drive around in my new car and listen to brutal (or quasi-brutal) music.
