Members fanuvbrak
Two questions, actually: 1. If one pre-amp tube is bad, will the amp continue to work on the lead channel and produce distortion? 2. A lot of the tube guys specify certain tubes for certain slots (V1, V2, and V3) but they're not labelled. Which slot is which?
Members The Anomaly
1. I think it depends on which tube is bad, and which position. 2. The preamp tube closest to the power tubes is V3, then, of course, going the other way, V2 is next to it, V1 is next to that.
