Members Eschatologist
On the DI line out XLR, is there any way to turn off the 4x12 "simulation" that's running? I'm interested in using the DI out in to my PC with cab impulses. I know you can do the same thing with the FX loop, but I'd love to use the DI output for its intended purpose. I A-B'd the two outputs and the DI out is noticeably darker and muddier than the FX outs.
Members enditol
If you use the 'preamp' setting it might do that, not sure, but otherwise the FX send will do what you want as you already noted.
Members Eschatologist
Nah, there's definitely some EQ on there making it darker, sounding not so great on its own, and not terrible with a cab impulse on it but DEFINITELY brighter and clearer from the FX loop tests I've done, just did two test clips. I was kinda keen on having that balanced output going from the head to the soundcard Wish there was some simple mod that could be done.
