Members lenster
Do u ever get frustrated when trying to find YOUR style? See, i'm heavily influenced by many styles/ guitarists but don't think i've yet found where i'm really at. I grew up on CCR , Kiss, Slade , Elvis ( these were my parents influeces , what they played often. ) Then i found AC/DC , All types of 80's metal/rock ( Bon Jovi , Warrant , Def Leppard etc ) , then came Gary Moore ( my fave player ) G'N'R , PJ , Extreme , Queensryche, 90's , Now i'm influenced heavily by John Mayer , Keith Urban , SRV , Alterbridge and so on........ So when i write my original stuff it's definately me with a mix of all these styles ( Mainly bluesy rock with a hint of hard rock influence) but i struggle to find musos that get where i'm at. One day i want to play Rock , the next day i feel like blues then it might be modern country. Why do i get so frustrated. Is there anyone else that feels the same? Members Say Ocean
Nah, I've pretty much developed my own style by failing at imitating my idols.
Members Blackwater
Why don't you combine all those elements? Lots of great players do. Plus you can really learn a lot from a diverse player.
Members lenster
Yeah , sometimes it gets quite depressing , i think its more a case of not being able to build a concrete base with the same musos on a regular basis.
