Members DarkHorseJ27
Angling the amp upwards, towards your head, will allow you to hear the amp more accurately. But is there anything to worry about with doing this with a tube amp?
Members Saetia
yes, the flow of an electrical signal is significantly affected by gravity

Members mooktank
Well you may change the shape of the thermal boundary layer caused by the natural convection cooling the tubes... big trouble.

Members whataracket
Depending on the design of your amp's case/cabinet, it can significantly affect cooling. My Rivera Quiana combos run much hotter when I tilt them back about 45 degrees because the hot air around the tubes no longer "spills upward" out the back of the amp. Instead, the hot air is trapped inside and makes a big difference in the temperature. It hasn't caused me any problems, though (knock wood). If I remember, I tilt it down to the upright position during breaks. They sit on the floor with a center tiltback leg, so it's no big deal to reposition it.
