Members karlw Posted August 8, 2009 Members Share Posted August 8, 2009 Just got home from work, empty house, ready to jam. Turn on amp and.... No volume. I can hear the tone, but the master volume doesn't do anything! OK, a slight increase in gain with more master volume, but no change in volume. Tried unplugging the FX loop, no difference. Tried switching the amp on and off a few times, no difference. The tone controls work, and the channel switching works. My guess is a dead power tube or tubes, although there's not much mileage on these ones yet... Any other thoughts before I open up the back and put a new pair of power tubes in there (that I need to order because I'm a schmuck and don't have a spare pair!)? So much for my jam session tomorrow.
