Members mustaine.dv8
Is this amp worth getting rid of teh mesa boogie mark III for? I'm thinking it's not worth it, I hear the carvin is a shredders amp but has good cleans. Doesn't it lack in the heavy tone department?
Members Sixtonoize
It's not a bad amp, but its got a VERY unique tone. People either love them or hate them. It's got 3 separate channels and full MIDI control, which is nice, but I'd never trade my Mark III for one. Ok...I might, now that I have a Mark IV, but I never would if I didn't have both. Members diavolo1
we recorded a clip at our recent amp fest, and through the same cab the markIV and the v3 were very similar as far as broots tones. clips are:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=660402

Is there something it has that the boogie doesn't?
Members Curtis.Fagan
No. I like Carvin better than Boogie overall, but this is one where you're waaaaaaay better off with the Mark3 overall... -Curtis
