Members 9841507
So a low hum just suddenly developed, I've heard of this before but don't remember the cause it's loud enough to rattle the speakers.
Members 9841507
Ok after letting it sit for a couple minutes now it just gives me odd static feedback. HELP! *Crys*
Members madryan
Probably tubes. If you own a tube amp you need to keep spare tubes around. Whip out your spare tubes dude.
Members 9841507
That's what I think it is, pre amp do you think? I switched out two preamp tubes today but the old ones weren't busted so maybe I got a bad tube?
Members 9841507
Well I think it was just the cable... But I find that incredible odd, I've never had a cable just all of a sudden crap out on me and it's definitely not created that kind of a very low hum before. My amp tech said something about that hum but I don't remember what he was trying to diagnose. Hopefully just the cable.
Members tele62
I would guess preamp tubes. Tried tapping each one for any signs of microphonics?
Members 9841507
Yeah it wasn't the cable so now it's odd. It works fine now though which is what makes no sense.
