Members JaredVR
I need some help from you trusty folks. Just picked up a Fender pro reverb, problem is the speakers are mismatched and terrible (one blank one and a Randall speaker). As far as putting in new speakers, I'm open for suggestions. Maybe some jensens? If so which ones...etc. etc. Thanks.
Members Zacman0126
You should probably be more specific about what you play and what not. But I hear great things about Warehouse and Eminence.
Members JaredVR
Oh yea good call, thanks. I play more alternative rock as well as some instrumental stuff that is very tone based and ambient, I prefer a darker smooth sound over bright and punchy. Hope that helps. Members Zacman0126
Hmm. Check out a clone of a V30 or a Reaper from Warehouse.
Members Reauchambeau
greenbacks will work in there, they'll be less bright and chimey and add some mids for more of a rock tone.
Members JaredVR
Ok... supposedly the recommended replacement is a jensen c12n. Any good?
Members mincy
For a Fender, I'd go with either a Jensen or Weber speaker. I've run WGS and Celestion loaded cabs with my Fender, and though they sound good, it does take on a little bit of the british sounding vibe, which frankly, isn't what I'm looking for with a Fender amp. Check out either the Weber Signature or Vintage series. With the Signature series, you can pick up a C12N clone for $50 a piece.
