Members Shinequwa
I don't know much about this subject, so I could really use some advice. I have a 2x12 combo with two 8 ohm speakers wired for 4 ohm. The back of the amp has two unmarked speaker inputs. One is for the internal speakers. I have been told that I can use the external speaker output with either an 8 ohm or 16 ohm cabinet. Is this harmful to my amp? Seems wrong, and I just need some clarification from some of you that know about this stuff. Thanks!
Members mamberg
is it a solid state or tube amp? if tube - it matters if solid state, you are most likely good with either 8 or 16 ohms as you were told.
