I know little to nothing about Mesas

Looks like a subway rocket. Cool little amps for what they were but there's better mini-mesa's out there.

Don't underestimate that thing. It was and is one of the quintessential small tube amps before this latest 'tiny head/small wattage' phase we seem to be in.

OP, if you can get one for a nice price, take it. :thu:

Sounds pretty sweet, but probably wouldn't cut the mustard as the main amp for my purposes. I really don't have the resources to have more than one amp right now.

That being said, those pictures are from a guy on my craigslist selling one with a footswitch, extra tubes, and an ibanez gio for $400. Sounds like someone could get a pretty decent deal if you can get him to drop that POS Gio from the deal. I'm not actually sure what they're worth.

PM me for the link if anyone's interested, I guess?

I've yet to play anything with EL-84's that I can live with, which sucks because the loaded Subway amps rip. Like mini-Mark IV's but I hate the greasy EL-84 vibe and feel so much I just can't do it.

Spend a bit more and get a DC-5 or a .50cal+ both of which run a pair of 6L6's and f-ing rock.
