This is my original song "Town of No Tomorrow"

This is an apocalyptic view of the commercial music industry, with some references to the Christian Bible that are used as hooks for the average listener.

Went down to the river's water just to see what's underneath

Saw a demon staring at me and he pulled me down with him

Didn't struggle didn't bother just accepted fate you see

All the while my honey was crying in a pile of leaves

In the town of no tomorrow pain tears and death greet me

The pastor's sermon makes us bleed outwards to infinity

With three bibles in his pocket and a shotgun in his hand

He tells us to behave ourselves and leads us to the promised land

Found a diamond by the river guarded by a serpentine

Felt the poison's vicious sting as riches came down on to me

Lived a life of constant sorrow, brushed up by an angel's wing

Pangs of death swallowed my body as my honey begged for me

Half past noon the drunks are stumblin', madly yelling at the sun

The desert winds pick up their curses and share them with everyone

Ain't no use to reason with them it's just best to let them be

Once wise men get their lives butchered by a siren dressed in green

Down the dusty road there's trouble, better stay a while my dear

Live a life of no tomorrow, the town whispers in your ear

Don't you worry 'bout the rations, this here pipeline leaks of gin

Let the pastor have his fill then we can sneak away from sin
