Members wodbs_2004
Don't know 'bout the sound... Never heard one but the price tag is fantastic!!! Hope it has a decent tone too
Members AizenX
I haven't tried it myself, but a lot of guys on the forum have...and their consensus is:"it sounds like a rubber band vibrating over a butthole"
Members B.Renegades
the sound demo seemed pretty sweet. The clean is REALLY good, and the OD is perfect for AC/DC thru Megadeth. Actually, I'm debating between it and the AVT100. Never heard the AVT100, but imma see if I cant try it out this weekend. The AVT100 is only 300, tho. Members PurityS.L.G.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from that amp. I mean, if you're able to test one out, do it and then thank me later. The amp is thin, harsh, cold and mushy. Pretty much awful in every aspect. If you're looking for a real Marshall, buy a used DSL. You can score a very nice one between $500-$800. Not the most often seen combination.I'm more of a Fender fan... I don't dig British tone.but thx for the information anyway
Members PurityS.L.G.
If you're a fender fan, check out the Bugera V55 (head or combo). They're only $350 brand new, they have amazing Fender like cleans and an awesome vintage drive channel. More than enough gain for rock music. Members Robson780
Hands down, No question The worst amp I've ever heard in my life. Would buy an MG over it in a heartbeat. I have no idea how they can get away with calling that "tube tone".
Members lp_junkie
AVT100 is going to be a better sounding amp, even though it's a hybrid. The MA just doesn't deliver the goods, I test drove one with my favorite Les Paul and A/B'd it against the DSL100 and JVM using the same 4x12 cabinet and although the MA has tubes it misses the boat. I mean I'd rather have the JCM600, but the AVT100 is just cheaper. I heard a sound demo and it wasn't half bad at all. If the AVT100 is gone when I actually have the money, I'm going to continue to save up for the JCM600. But once I have my 300 in hand, if it still there, im getting the AVT100. Members lp_junkie
The JCM600 sounds more old school crunch than raging metal, I sold one about 4 months ago. It was nice for studio rhythm work but just didn't get me the gain I want for lead work.

Members lp_junkie
With a good pedal you can achieve it on the JCM600, I just don't like using distortion boxes and rely solely on the amp for my distortion. What it does best on it's own merits is AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

Members K-Bizzle
I would rather play ANY other Marshall ever made.ANY. Not kidding. All the negative comments in here are spot on IMO. {censored} that amp.
Members Firegoat
Just tried one and the cleans or passable but the drive is terrible. Too bad Marshall can't design a good sounding amp for less than $2000 anymore...
Members FastRedPonyCar
Played one monday and it was horrendous. That's really all I have to add. :/ I'd take a DSL, vintage modern, JVM or even a ceriatone kit over the MA.
