Members Nbhatt
Friends, Following link is from music of Indian mandolin (mini-guitar) player U.Shrinivas (also a member of Shakti group). In the song "g-Javali" there is some subtle yet very evident guitar effect in action. I think its an effect that subtly alters the envelope of the tone of his instrument but i could be entirely wrong. I will highly appreciate if you could guide me in the right direction here. http://www.musicindiaonline.com/l/3...283/artist.174/ OR download/listen at: http://us.share.geocities.com/nilkanthb/javali.mp3 Regards, N Bhatt
Moderators AMZ-FX Posted June 28, 2006 Moderators Share Posted June 28, 2006 Do you mean the pitch-bend type of sound that happens on certain notes? At first I thought it was done by the player but after listening some more, it sounds like a Whammy pedal, which can do bends like that. regards, Jack
Members Nbhatt
thanks jack. i was actually referring to the tone itself or the way the attack is altered. there appears this swell or bloom to the note attack which makes whole instrument sound as if slightly synthetic. does anyone think is it could envelope or wah filter of some kind ? http://www.fivestrings.net/333.mp3 http://www.fivestrings.net/sample3.mp3
