Just curious to know how it works. Like how does the laptop get information from the turntables through just RCA outputs. Anybody?

To keep things as simple as possible, there's time code written on the vinyl and CD's. The turntable, or cd player, reads that time code and sends it through the RCA's to the scratch amp which is hooked up via USB to your laptop, which then coverts that to a digital signal and basically syncs the mp3 up with the control deck.

Essentially, the MP3's on your computer are manipulated by the time code written on the CD's or vinyl.
