Members robertlee79
I'm installing a set of Seymour Duncan pickups on my Ibanez. They are the SH-4 JB and the SH-2 Jazz set. No single coil will be installed, just the 2 humbuckers. My question is about the pots: should i go with a volume / 1 tone setup or a volume / 2 tone setup? I'm not sure of how much of a difference having 2 tone pots makes so any input is greatly appreciated. Also any input on brands of pots is welcome. Members Paladin2019
CTS are the no-brainer pot upgrade. Personally I'd go 1 volume 1 tone, but I don't use the tone controls a great deal. 2 volumes might work pretty well.
Members PFDarkside
Unless you always use your bridge pickup wide open and your neck pickup with the tone rolled back, a single tone is fine I think. Two volumes could be cool to get different blends in the middle position, or you could use a blend pot and a master volume.
Members Paladin2019
Another idea: dual concentric pots. You could have two volumes and two tones without drilling new holes.
