Members (o)(o)
So, can you take an amp with an emulated line out and run it into the power engine fully dimed, then lower the power engine volume and get a tone that's cranked up power tube sound at bedroom volumes? Members tech21man
No. The emulated line outs hardly if ever take signal out of the power amp. They send the preamp signal, processed slightly and only a few of them get it right. Many sound like total {censored}. But it varies to taste. Also don't expect the power engine to be total fullrange. It isn't. It still is good for modellers though. Again, the DI out doesn't include speaker movement and damping parameters. A lot of an amps sound is in this area and with the power engine it gets lost. Then again running modellers through the power engine is exactly this neutrality the unit is known for that one is after.
