Hey guys, i've just had a Sherlock midi mod installed into my Laney VH100R.

I would like some help in setting up the cc ,and pc menus.

My aim for having this installed was so that i could use my amps clean channel as i was not quite getting the tone i need thru the GSP.

I am using the 4CM with great results , just need that extra sparkle of the Laney's clean channels and i will be stoked.

Let's say i will have my GC2 pedal board set up in 10 patch function.

1 - Clean with reverb

2 - clean with reverb, chorus

3 - clean with reverb , chorus and delay

4 - clean with slight dirt boost reverb chorus delay and eq

5 - dirt

6 - dirt with short delay

7 - dirt with phaser and short delay

8 - dirt with long delay and eq boost

9 - dirt with short delay and IPS

10 - etc

i now i'm rambling just really stuck with wrapping my head around midi.

once i have it sorted i know i'm gonna be happy.

Not knowing anything about the system, you'll probably only need to program in Program Changes.

Continuous Controllers are more for things that you can change incrementally, like the level of delay...Program Changes are more for on/off things, like amp channel.

That being said, every MIDI device has its own little quirks.

Can you post a link to the manual for the Sherlock?

You need to set up the Sherlock to receive on a MIDI channel (how about 16?) and the GSP set to a different channel (let's say 16).

Then, set up your GC2 to send PC data on those channels each time you press a button.

For each button, you'll then want to assign one PC for each channel (one on 15 for the FX and one on 16 for the amp).

Then just figure out which PC command corresponds to which amp channel and which PC commands correspond to which effects.

Then program the GC2 accordingly.
