Cheap slivovitz does taste rather like silver polish, yes. :D My Polackistanian grandfather used to try making it. :freak::facepalm: The man could grow any fruit you want, but turning it into beverages was not his forte. He may have gotten the ingredients confused with what was laying about the basement though.

 

Congrats on the vodak. I think it should have a bit of an aftertaste instead of being dead-neutral spirits. My favorite Rooshian vodkas have a bit of molasses and bread aftertaste, just a tiny kiss after the hammer hits. Vodka goes with food, usually pickled veg and smoked meat, olives, peppers, a little bread or cheese. See what this one goes with.

 

The evening lasts longer that way, too.
