Members blind radish
I just got the Blackstar 5watt head. It's used and I got it for a pretty good price. I've not completely taken it for a shakedown cruise, but it feels very alive with lots of tonal opportunities. For those who own one ... Do any of you get a pulsing sound as the guitar's sustain degrades. It's like a light phaser sound almost. I have read this amp as push/pull technology (not completely sure what impact that has on sound) Any advice would be appreciated

Members AXEL276
I have the HT5RC (1 x 12) combo, same amp. Nope, no pulsing, mines pretty smooth sounding. I bought mine new but upgraded the tubes and stock speaker with a V30. You might want to change the tubes. Are you running anything else thru the amp, pedals? Try another guitar, cord, see if it does it.
Members Oblivion DC
I own one of the older heads and I haven't had any trouble with pulsing notes on fadeout either.
Members i3oosted
I've had this before on a different amp sometimes, never figured it out.
