I have used Eminences as replacement speakers in a number of bass cabs and haven't been disappointed so far.

TBH though, since bass tone is typically much less reliant on speaker breakup and bass drivers are consequently designed to be more linear than guitar speakers, you won't notice as much of a difference between brands once you step up out of the "cheap crap" bracket.

Just make sure that you get the right impedance and make triple sure you get something with enough power handling. A blown cone will ruin your day.

emi NEO. 200$ but light as {censored}. ive never used neo anything cause ill deal with the weight to save money, but apparently if your back a sore mother{censored}er then are worth every penny. gets good reviews. . .

I had great results with the 18 inch version of this in a tri way folded horn cab. also peavy, also able to be fixed, at a gig even, when you hammer it.

ev 15. i have one of these in a early 70s cab and for bass guitar it {censored}ing rapes. really pricey though. the only reason i have one is it was used and on da cheapz.

mind you some of those options are pro audio woofers that only go up to 2000 hz or so, i have no idea if your cab has a built in horn and its crossovers and what have you but those are some top drivers imho. I didnt include celestions in that mix cause i have NO experiance with them.
