Members Valtiel
Most any of the Eminence options will work fine: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search.php?s=Eminence+15 JUst match your impedance and power requirement needs.
Members Pankot
I have used Eminences as replacement speakers in a number of bass cabs and haven't been disappointed so far. TBH though, since bass tone is typically much less reliant on speaker breakup and bass drivers are consequently designed to be more linear than guitar speakers, you won't notice as much of a difference between brands once you step up out of the "cheap crap" bracket. Just make sure that you get the right impedance and make triple sure you get something with enough power handling. A blown cone will ruin your day. Members NITROHOLIC
id go with emi for a tight budget EV if you have 300+ $ to spend on one 15 for an ampeg cab (but god they sound good) or JBLs if you want to really irritate me with your money burning prowess
Members SexWithRobots
So what would be a good option for this head then, particularly what would be safe speaker to use so it doesn't get blown. 1001RB-II
Members NITROHOLIC
you could. . . http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=294-313 peavy Scorpion. well known 15, might help you in resell. also can be reconed on the fly (incase you hammer it) http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-497 great EMI replacement. only handles 300 watts though so you couldnt get drunk and dime all knobs like a moron and not expect {censored}ty results http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-514 emi NEO. 200$ but light as {censored}. ive never used neo anything cause ill deal with the weight to save money, but apparently if your back a sore mother{censored}er then are worth every penny. gets good reviews. . . http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=294-303 I had great results with the 18 inch version of this in a tri way folded horn cab. also peavy, also able to be fixed, at a gig even, when you hammer it. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=294-303 ev 15. i have one of these in a early 70s cab and for bass guitar it {censored}ing rapes. really pricey though. the only reason i have one is it was used and on da cheapz. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=294-470 if youre a spoiled brat with no budget. mind you some of those options are pro audio woofers that only go up to 2000 hz or so, i have no idea if your cab has a built in horn and its crossovers and what have you but those are some top drivers imho. I didnt include celestions in that mix cause i have NO experiance with them.
