Members D Elay Posted April 13, 2013 Members Share Posted April 13, 2013 Hi I bought a BV-60 1x12 combo second hand and its a great amp but have one strange problem with it. I want to avoid taking to a tech if possible. On the clean channel, the reverb works fine although I can tell the 12AU7 may be worn out as it feedsback on higher reverb settings even at low volumes. On the Gain channel(CH 2) on zero reverb off as I turn clockwise the reverb control acts more like a tone control. With it on 10 it is very treble-y and off it is opposite. Members HKSblade2 Posted April 14, 2013 Members Share Posted April 14, 2013 Start with replacing the tubes. Mostly the preamp tubes since your problem doesn't seem like an output problem. Try a new tube in each socket substituting one at a time. This works unless you have more than one faulty tube. If you have not changed them in a while, I'd start there.Problem described can also be internal components, bad solder, overheated components, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
