Members ijams Posted October 22, 2013 Members Share Posted October 22, 2013 They dont have a very crispy pick attack that i hate standing in front of the speakers,they sound awesome and the EQ is perfect for single coils and of course HB guitars.My rebel 30 bias at 37-38 mvdc isnt hurting them after a tube test there stll like new 70 hours later. I ordered some for my rebel 20 but the bias didnt give them enough humm !The plate resistance affected the range of bias i believe ? PS Genalex gold lion has a new $20.00 12ax7 tube for guitar guys,its the warmest tube sound ive ever heard in a 12ax7 .Got a bright amp or want to flat pick smoothly or slide players,unique sound thats harmonic as hell.
