Members Chugs
Hi, I did the volume mod on my Small Stone last night. It worked great except I accidently pulled out the red wire that leads to the LED. Where on the board is it meant to be soldered to?
Members nos
Remove the knob and pot from the panel and flip the PCB over. You should be able to see the broken-off wire pretty easily.
Members Chugs
The wire is still attached to the LED. It has come free from the board at the point at which it was soldered. The wire is seen in the left of the photo. I have scanned the back of the board but I can't see any point at which it was obviously wired.
Members nos
Seriously, if you can see both sides of the board, you can probably find the pad where there's nothing connected. Every solder point should have a component or wire soldered to it on one or the other side of the board. If you find one that doesn't, you've probably found your culprit.
