Members separanets Posted June 19, 2009 Members Share Posted June 19, 2009 Can anyone tell me a possible substistute for the MPSA14 in the ZW44 or MXR Distortion III overdrives. I have to know if it's possiblle to use an MPSA13 instead of the MPSA14 as it goes in original pedals. MPSA14 is very rare in my district. Or maybe I need to combine two MPSA13s to obtain that the beta paramemetr be greater than 2000? And one more question: people suggest to use a field transistor, like a 2SK117, as replacement for the darlingtone. What do you think of this idea?
