Members rickenvox
Want opinions from experienced bluegrass pickers - can you suggest a good instruction book/CD/DVD for someone who is new to the style but not a new guitarist (i.e., I know hammer ons, pulls off, decent chord and scale vocabulary, alternating bass, etc.)? I don't mind a course covering the basics, as long as it can take a more advanced player (of other styles) at a more accelerated pace. Thanks (I'm usually in the amps forum),Kent

Members likkafella
Why not check www.homespuntapes.com for the Tony Rice 2 dvd set? Should be right up your alley.

Should be right up your alley. Thanks, I'll give it a try. Tony Rice is pretty damn good and mixes in modern styles. I'm wondering if I would miss out on some of the background stuff that would be common knowledge to most bluegrass pickers (?).
