Changing strings is a very personal thing. Some people need to do it every few weeks. Some people can go months without changing strings. You should change them when your ears tell you the sound quality has truly deteriorated.Frets are another matter entirely. You CAN get a refret on your guitar, but this isn't something you'll need on a regular basis. You can go decades without a refret. Some guitars never get 'em.Welcome to HC, by the way. "I dont play the guitar, I make it sing" if you don't play guitar why change the strings:D Oh, when they sound like they are singing with a Cold:D When you've played the snot out of the guitar and wore(past tense) the fretts down to nothing...
